PLAN WITHIN YOUR AGENCY

Plan Ahead with MOUs, MAAs and Advanced Support

Code 3 Associates is here to help your agency, community or state before and after natural or manmade disasters.

We provide professional support as well as technical animal rescue and recovery services to assist communities affected by man-made or natural disasters. We will provide these services to communities upon an official request for assistance from the local authorities during a disaster.

Establishment of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) prior to the onset of dramatic events allows us, as well as those who may be requesting our assistance, to know what resources would be provided. We also establish partnerships with other qualified organizations through Mutual Aid Agreements (MAA). These provide us with a greater resource base for assisting jurisdictions in need.

Depending on notification of a deployment need, Code 3 may take up to 24-72 hours to respond to an event.  MOU’s and prestaging of resources before a known event will substantially shorten response times.

STRATEGIC PLANNING

In addition to establishing MOUs and/or MAAs with Code 3 for providing assistance in the aftermath of a disaster, we can also help in various ways through our Whole Community strategic planning. We can review your current resources and procedures, identify resource and partner gaps that need to be addressed, bridge communications between Emergency Management and Animal Welfare Professionals, and offer progressive training and response plans.
