Occupational Awareness Resilience Strategies is proactive psychoeducational and interactive journey you are welcomed into a diverse community of people working in the professions of first-responders and those in the field of Animal Welfare work.

Our approach to this program is supportive, non-judgmental, strengths-based and culturally sensitive.

Engaging with these courses will support your growth, resilience, healing, and transformation in your professional and personal life. You will learn theories, techniques and applications from the cutting edge of neuroscience and mental health fields. There will be multiple opportunities for development of your own growth and self-awareness along with understanding of current socio-cultural topics. Participants are strongly encouraged to engage in their own process during these course offerings. Our program relies on developing collaborative partnerships between self, peers, and management.

The program consists of three 4 hour courses for each level. The following descriptions offer a basic outline for Level 1, Essentials.

Understanding the importance of being proactive in integrating a mental health perspective into the challenges and rewards of your work-life. Learn to think of occupational awareness as an everyday affair. Gain an introduction to new lenses in understanding the personal impacts of your profession and redefining traditional wellness approaches. Experience new strategies & develop conversations to minimize risks of compassion fatigue or burnout.

This course is being taught by;  Trudi Howley M.S., SEP, LPC, CPC- Licensed Professional Counselor, Somatic Psychotherapist, Trauma Specialist.

Bruce Gottlieb M.S.W.- Specializing in therapeutic theories, and of neuroscience, applying all theories into practical enhanced living.
