This comprehensive course provides a general introduction to the field of veterinary forensic sciences and covers various topics such as the role of a forensic veterinarian, different forms of animal cruelty with case examples, and an overview of the forensic necropsy/postmortem exam.

Participants will also learn about the use of ancillary diagnostics and reports, photography, and videography as methods to further document animal cruelty cases beyond basic report writing. The course concludes with a review of cases that are difficult to investigate and legally prove.
